ToloMEO is a suite of software services that can be integrated into every DAVE Embedded Systems hardware device.
The advantage of choosing ToloMEO is the adoption of a single solution encompassing both hardware products and the most comprehensive range of software solutions available on the market. These solutions can be implemented according to the specific needs of the customer and project, thanks to its modular structure.
ToloMEO allows everyone to create an account and access a series of free basic services, the most important of which is the complete traceability service for all DAVE Embedded Systems products.
In addition, ToloMEO provides five software service modules on a subscription basis:
Once the ToloMEO operating system is installed on your Edge device and your Cloud-level account is activated, you can easily and quickly manage the services you wish to enable through a user-friendly administration interface. This allows customers to purchase a customized suite of services tailored to their specific needs, which can be freely implemented whenever the need for an additional service arises.
ToloMEO is designed in a modular form, making it easy to integrate third-party solutions to ensure that familiar services already used by the company are not lost.
In addition to its flexibility and scalable modularity, what sets ToloMEO apart is the significant autonomy it provides to the end customer in managing their system, supported and guaranteed by DAVE Embedded Systems' 25 years of experience in hardware and software.
ToloMEO is a web-based platform that allows users to actively interact with remotely deployed edge devices in the field. These edge devices are configured with a dedicated software distribution that partially or fully supports ToloMEO's functionalities, depending on device resources.
Through a secure IoT connection, ToloMEO can configure the edge device according to user needs. Users have full access to all ToloMEO features and can manage their fleet by customizing every aspect of the platform.
ToloMEO's flexibility allows for the integration of different modules based on varying customer needs or specific projects.
The foundational module focuses on user and data management, enabling the definition of fleet management systems. Additionally, modules such as IoT, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Embedded Manager are available, each offering different levels of options and configurations.
ToloMEO EDGE is the Docker-enabled operating system. It's a lightweight and secure solution. All additional functionalities, such as OTA updates, are installed within containers. A template container is provided with libraries for connecting to ToloMEO Cloud.
Alongside ToloMEO Edge, there's DESK. DESK serves as the development platform for edge devices, enabling configuration and rebuilding of the kernel and operating system using Yocto.
The IoT module enables a specially configured hardware device - which is natively done for DAVE Embedded Systems products - to connect to the internet and link various devices or systems via the Cloud.
ToloMEO IoT handles background tasks necessary to establish a secure communication channel between the edge and the Cloud, such as provisioning with secure certifications and keys, channel encryption, user and device authentication, and permissions.
ToloMEO provides predefined channels/flows/automations/APIs for:
Device configuration (partial updates, auditing, versioning)
Commands (real-time commands, offline command queue)
Status (network connectivity, system errors, power status, extendable to application status)
Notifications: real-time channel for events/alarms/notifications

The data collected with ToloMEO IoT can be used for inference and training of artificial intelligence models.
ToloMEO Machine Learning provides the necessary functionalities for MLOps, both on the edge and in the Cloud, along with a framework for federated learning distributed between edge devices and the Cloud.
The ToloMEO Blockchain module can record data and events on an authorized/certified public blockchain. Data recorded on the blockchain holds legal value and can be used for notarial processes. ToloMEO Blockchain manages the deployment of smart contracts to automate digital transactions.
ToloMEO is designed and developed to comply with highly regulated markets such as medical, avionics, and aerospace.
ToloMEO modules undergo extensive testing and monitoring to detect any bugs. Bugs can be easily resolved through OTA updates of edge devices, and robust authentication management allows administrators to block malicious users or devices.
The Product Management System (PMS) is a free service that provides direct access to production information from our company, aimed at ensuring maximum transparency in our manufacturing processes.
PMS offers information on production batches to meet traceability requirements in regulated markets, such as the medical devices market. Additionally, it is integrated with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and Support, allowing you to obtain real-time information on your support tickets.
